POLICE STOP A DRUG DEAL IN THE VICINITY OF GLEN PARK FOLLOWING LENGTHY SURVEILLANCE

Monday November 4TH, 2013 ― This evening officers from the Los Santos Police Department intercepted a drug transaction between two individuals on the southern side of Glen Park, bringing the deal to a halt following periods of surveillance. The two individuals involved were spotted at the parking lot just south of Glen Park beside an Oceanic with it's trunk open, providing reasonable suspicion to a patrolling unit in the vicinity that something was happening. Upon examination, it became apparent that the two individuals were executing a drug deal.. Officers moved in on the situation, ambushing the two individuals from opposing directions. However, both individuals refused to surrender and the officers engaged in a foot pursuit with the suspects of who were fleeing in two different directions. One was detained without any difficulty after being tased however the other suspect wielded a firearm, firing upon the chasing officer yet was swiftly pacified by pursuing officers. The suspect was pronounced dead and was the only casualty of the situation.

The vehicle used to host the drug deal was searched thoroughly prior to locating several bags in the trunk. Upon inspecting the contents of these bags, large amounts of various narcotics were discovered varying from cocaine to ecstasy. Approximately two kilos worth of cocaine, ecstasy, marijuana, crack,, phencyclidine, heroin and steroids were seized from the vehicle.
The suspect was consequently convicted.
